Paula's Notes:
Since the opening of the Museum of Glass in July 2002 and Tacoma Art Museum’s building completion and re-opening in May 2003, Tacoma has experienced a cultural revolution. What is especially cool is that many of these new art venues are all within walking distance of each other. So what makes more sense than for Tacoma to have its own Artwalk?
Never heard of an ArtWalk?
Many cities across the nation host this monthly event normally on a specific Thursday of each month. Museums and galleries will stay open later than usual, offering refreshments and free admission!
Tacoma’s ArtWalk takes place on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 5-8pm. As of this printing, Tacoma Art Museum offers free admission all day on ArtWalk Thursday and the Museum of Glass admission is free during ArtWalk hours.
