Jacob's Review:
Not only is the Lake a big lake good for camping and fishing, but you can go on the hiking trails - they are jungely and go all the way to the river. The river is also a good place to go on Kayaks - I didn't go kayaking here but it is like the river in Austin if you have been there!
There is a long bridge over a part of the lake - you swhould see if your parents will drive you over it - it is pretty cool! Dad's Notes:
Waco Lake fishing is best for large mouth & white bass, crappie, channel, blue & flat head catfish. Record flat head catfish here is 62 pounds. There are 9 wildlife mngmt areas (2000 acres) available for hunting. There is also a 3.5 mile asphalt hike/bike trail over the dam.
1 Airport Park: RV & camp sites, tent sites, 6 swimming areas, picnic tables, boat ramp, marina & restaurant. $3 per veh.
