Jacob's Review:
If you eat lunch at the zoo, take it to the picnic tables near the monkeys and you can watch the monkeys by the lake! There is a waterfall and fish and big turtles in the lake. The monkeys {Gibbons} live in a cave and have trees and ropes they swing on, they're funny!
There is a giant turtle and Giraffes and the Rhino's are biggest! Also the alligator isn't a crocodile because it doesn't have a pointy nose. Dad's Notes:
A very beautiful park, clean and sharply landscaped; it is a natural habitat zoo. Full of shaded areas, one such is near a children's playground with a fountain to play in, a tree-house with slide near a waterfall. Parents can sit and enjoy the parrots (Macaws) and monkeys playing together.
Don't miss the Herpetarium (The Reptile House) it is very nicely done and worth getting down and looking at things from an underwater view!! A very inexpensive day, friendly staff, good food and a great atmosphere! If you like giraffes, you can enjoy a meal at The Treetop cafe where you can them. Outside food and beverages are not allowed into the Zoo.
