Jacob's Review:  They have lots of Indian Arrowheads and big ones, too! These are real arrows and tools made out of rocks. You can go on the trail and learn about the Indians that lived here, too. Oh, there's this cool throwing stick that the Indians used to fly out arrows (before they knew how to make bows) and they have one you can really try!

Dad's Notes:  Located on Lake LBJ, this location has had human habitation back 10,000 years! More than 100,000 artifacts have been recovered at this location. - To include tools, spear points, arrowheads and more.
     Scientists believe this may have been a regular festival or annual meeting place for different tribes & camps of hunter/gatherers. Displays of various Indian rock art found locally.
     Back in the day - up to 10,000 years ago, people in this area hunted Mammoth and giant Bison. Public Tours run 2nd and 4th Saturday each month. Call for group or school trip special tours/reservations. There are also teacher lessons and materials available on their web site and at the center.

  Drive Directions:   US 190 West to Lampasas, South on US 281 to Marble Falls. West on FM 1431 9.3 miles to CR 126. Left and follow signs to Nightingale Center. (Note: it is in a neighborhood - follow signs).

Jacob Tip:   There are arrowheads all over the ground in Texas. You can find them if you look on the ground! Sometimes you can find fossils or dinosaur footprints too!
