Jacob's Review: It was neat - it was all these old cabins and stuff. Log cabins, gardening stuff, cannons & rock cabins... The rock ones were all rock & the roof was made out of wood. It is an inside and outside museum.

Dad's Notes: Near downtown Open April - November, this Fort originally built in 1849 to protect against Indians. You can take a short walking tour and see original buildings and some that were moved here from other places. Strewn between the old cabins of the Fort are a number of old tractors and farming equipment, a canon and other 'treasures'.

		Drive Directions: US 190 W 26mi to Lampasas. Left (south) on US 281 S 22 Mi to Burnet. Right on 29 West, about a mile on left.
