Jacob's Review:
My dad likes working in the yard but he gets frustrated when things he planted dies. So when he heard about the wildflower garden, he decided we should take a picnic (because I like to eat) and go check it out. I didn't like looking at the flowers but I did like running around on the pathway, except when some old people looked at me mad. I didn't run into them, I swear. I was wearing new sneaks and I was showing dad I can run faster in them and I just ran past them and back. They didn't like that because dad told me to stop running so fast.
It was a good thing dad remembered to pack hats and sunscreen in the bag because it was very sunny and we didn't want to get sunburned. We had fun though. After we got home, dad made a plan of what we're going to plant next. I just hope these plants make it in the summer. Planting is not fun for kids, but it looks nice and so did this place. Dad's Notes:
There is a 1.5 miles long walking trail taking you through the labeled plants and flowers. Plan to spend most of the day here if you want to see all the gardens. It's very informative and will make you want to replant at your backyard with native plants and wildflowers since they are more drought tolerant than the grass most people already have in their yard which is nearly impossible to keep beautiful when we experience Texas droughts. Bring your camera to take pictures and the wildflowers - they make a great backdrop for portraits or photos for your computer desktop.
To be clear - this is much more fun for adults and kids than I am probably explaining! Well worth the trip! They have a couple of picnic areas so feel free to bring a picnic along. Even if you don't bring a picnic, be sure to bring water, if you need to get a beverage or a snack, there is a café available. Remember a hat and sunscreen.

| Jacob Tip: To take better pictures - get closer than you think you should, and take a look behind the person or thing you are shooting - is there a better background angle if you take a step left or right? | ||||||||
