Jacob's Review:
It is just like a regular museum, there are Indian teepees and statues of cowboys and Indians that look real. They have soldiers from cowboy time doing a real battle - but they are statues. Davy Crockett was here, at the Alamo and they look like they are shooting a cannon. You can see how people lived in the olden days. The IMAX is a giant movie - it is so big it might seem a little scary - but it's really not.
Dad's Notes:
Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum- The museum tells the story of Texas. There are three floors with exhibits that change all the time as new things are loaned to the museum. The exhibits include things such as the first Texans - Indian life displays, Texas cowboys, Indian battles, Black gold rush - oil days. The exhibits are nicely done, bringing a clean and realistic job of Texas history alive in Diorama's nice use of lighting, computers and modern technology.
The Imax (a GIANT movie screen) - if you have never seen an Imax movie, make it a point to go. Has rotating shows - recommend catching 'The Alamo' if it is playing when you go.
