Dad's Notes:
UofA and some local teacher and school groups offer fun and educational non-credit courses for kids from kindergarten thru middle school.. Classes, workshops, seminars and more.
Classes are very numerous in content but last year some examples included Bubblery, chess, cooking, photography, foreign language, science, bats, chemistry, printmaking, animals, jazz, candlemaking, monkey’s, marine biology, art, fencing (swords - not dogs :-) bookmaking, paper mache, astronomy, writing, dance (various types), intro to computers, office 2000, computer programming, band and drama. This is just a partial list.
Most classes are one or two weeks in length, are age appropriate, focus on fun and can be either half or full day (usually running about $180/$350). Similiar to the price of day care or other summer camps.
Limited scholarships available, taking donations for more scholarships!
