Trap Shooting
Ft Huachuca Sportsman’s Center
Recommended by: Rodney Ritter
Jacob's Review:  It is neat cause you can see your Dad shoot and blow up the targets. Your Mom might be better than your Dad and then you can make jokes about your Dad and he might laugh later and chase you (but not when you are there cause there are guns and you have to be very careful). If you are ___ years old you can shoot a kid size gun and you might be good.

Dad's Notes:  A great place to try Trap shooting - It is with a Shotgun - either your own or with shotguns they have for rent - there are bright orange clay targets that the machine launches out, for you to shoot.
There is a big difference from ‘pointing’ a shotgun and aiming a rifle - there are a number of friendly guys on site that are more than eager to give some instruction and pointers - a great family event or just to spend some quality time with the boy’s.
The Sportsman’s Center offers ranges for skeet, trap, archery sporting clays, air rifles and paintball. The center offers a clubhouse, retail store, reloading room, equipment and accommodations for firearm storage.

Jacob Tip:   A shotgun is too big for a kid, but a BB gun or a pellet gun is a good way to learn, and then once you learn safety kids can shoot a .410.
