Jacob's Review:
There is a house you go in before you hike, you can learn about the nature and where to go hiking. There is places to sit in the forest garden and there is so many humming birds I never could see them all. On the hike you can see a real cabin that’s soo old it was a Davey Crockett cabin! And there is a frog pond for under water singing frogs.

Dad's Notes:

300 acre nature preserve and hummingbird sanctuary. A really spectacular canyon complete with large woods, abundant wildlife, creek and all! There is a nice easy hike - up to 1 mile, good for the kids and Fam’. From there it gets steep and becomes a challenging long hike to the top of the mountain, there is an old ghost town at the top - Don’t go into any Mine entrances - they are life threateningly dangerous.

The canyon also boasts a 6 bedroom (& 2 apartments) bed & breakfast run by the Nature Conservancy. Call for Inn rates. (A great Weekend get away!)

Drive Directions: I-10 East to 90 (exit #302). Right (south) through Whetstone and Huachuca City. At the first traffic signal south of Huachuca City, turn left. You are still on Route 90. At the intersection of Routes 90 and 92 (Target store on your left and a Ford dealership on your right), go straight ahead. You are now on Route 92. Continue ahead for approximately 6 miles to Ramsey Canyon Road. Turn right onto Ramsey Canyon Road. Folklore Preserve is on right after you get into the woods a bit (watch for sign). Ramsey Canyon Inn & Preserve are at the end of the road.
Jacob Tip:   Kids can learn to take pictures with cheap digital cameras! There is a neat web site that prints real pictures or makes greet cards for really cheap! Try Snapfish: www.snapfish.com
