Dad's Notes:
A thriving old west mining town, one of the richest mineral sites in the world. Still much today as it was in the ‘olden days’ with blocks of hundred year old, tall brick and stone buildings. Old tymers declare Bisbee has ‘the perfect weather year round” although they complain about all the piercings and pink hair that might be seen occasion as the town has a very unique ‘artsy’ flavor in its inhabitants.
Many galleries, artisans, music and theatre events blend in nicely with the antiques, crafts and mineral shops. Year round events include 4th of July parade, Brewery Gulch Daze, Coaster Races, Gem & Mineral show, Halloween events, Home tour, 1000 Stair Climb 5/10k are a few.
You need more than a day to truly steep yourself in this rich experience of Bisbee. Bed & Breakfasts and old Inn’s abound to help you stay and enjoy!
